SYNLawn and AstroTurf Honored for Industry Achievements at the Annual Synthetic Turf Council Awards

Innovation, philanthropy, sustainability and community provide a winning combination

We are honored to share that SYNLawn, along with our amazing distributor teams, brought home three Synthetic Turf Council (STC) Awards this year. The rewards reflect the dedication to innovation, community impact, and creativity that underpin our brands. Here is a quick look at the wins.

Innovation Award: Multidirectional Turf Technology

SYNLawns’ Multidirectional Turf Technology is a game-changer and its recognition at the STC Awards is another testament to its impact. This innovative approach to synthetic grass combines unique yarn mixes and multidirectional patterns to replicate the natural look and feel of real grass from any angle. SYNLawn showcased this at the Euro 2024 Fan Mile in Berlin, where 2 million visitors got to experience it firsthand. After the event, the 24,000 square meters of turf found a second life through donations to seven local organizations in Berlin—a win for both aesthetics and sustainability.

Philanthropy Award: Have Faith Haiti

SYNLawn Michigan teamed up with acclaimed author and founder Mitch Albom’s Have Faith Haiti school to create an incredible outdoor space for the children at their orphanage in Port-au-Prince. Covering nearly 20,000 square feet, SYNLawn Michigan transformed this area into a vibrant courtyard and soccer field for the kids. Beyond just grass, this project promotes physical activity and a safe, enjoyable environment, making a lasting impact on their day-to-day lives.

Commercial Landscape Project of the Year: Factory 52

SYNLawnCincinnati was recognized for their outstanding work at Factory 52, a new mixed-use community hub built on the site of the former United States Playing Card Company in Ohio. This project reimagined the facility’s outdoor spaces, bringing together creativity, sustainability, and community spirit with features like dog parks, pickleball courts, and multiple green spaces. Using our eco-friendly, renewable-backed turf the team created a unique, imaginative space for the community.

The world’s first carbon zero turf, this installation marked a pivotal move in advancing the sport and AstroTurf was recognized for its innovation, sustainability and positive impact on both planet and players.

AstroTurf clinches the silverware for the Paris Olympic Turf at USA Field Hockey’s base

AstroTurf received the Sports Field of the Year Award for their work on the Charlotte Field Hockey pitch in the under-75,000 sq. ft. category. At the home of USA Field Hockey, this revolutionary Poligras Paris GT zero turf provided the U.S. Women’s team with the Olympic turf to prepare for Paris24. The world’s first carbon zero turf, this installation marked a pivotal move in advancing the sport and AstroTurf was recognized for its innovation, sustainability and positive impact on both planet and players by the STC judging panel.

It takes a team.

These awards are all about the dedication and hard work of our SYNLawn and AstroTurf family and distributor teams. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these projects and helped us continue to raise the bar in the synthetic turf industry.

Here’s to more amazing projects and pushing boundaries in the synthetic turf world.
